Meet Helen

Welcome. I'm Helen Coleman, a natural dye researcher, artist and workshop facilitator based in Western Australia.

My practice brings together science, creativity and a lifelong fascination with the natural world, exploring how local plants and earth materials can become beautiful, sustainable sources of colour.

Through research, workshops, exhibitions and collaborations, I help artists, designers and curious makers discover the possibilities of natural pigments and dyes.

I am currently completing the final year of a PhD at Curtin University, investigating the natural dye properties of Corymbia calophylla kino (marri gum) and its potential to support a more sustainable future for Australian fashion.
